The three major papers we had to do in class throughout the semester were a struggle for me. With that being said, each paper got easier and by the third I felt very confident that I’d get a good grade. When writing my papers, I mainly struggled with developing an argument, having strong claim sentences and just the overall organization of the paragraph.

The paper I chose is the third major prompt talking about beauty and it’s place in our society. I chose this paper because I first handed in an incomplete free draft due to the fact that I didn’t know what I was trying to argue. I took in consideration my peers comments and had my professor review my work as well to see what explain I should argue. I believe my final draft was significantly different than my free draft and thats why I chose this paper as my example.

My rough draft was quiet vague and I felt myself getting stuck in the middle of a lot of my ideas. I was only brushing the surface with my ideas and moving to the next quickly which made it hard for me to reach the word limit).

I got multiple comments about expanding on certain ideas, paragraph organization and making sure my argument doesn’t get lost within the quotes. I was quite overwhelmed at first and thought the best way to fix it would be to start fresh. I went through each sentence and either pasted it into the blank doc and expanding or deleted. This I found especially helpful and I wish I had done this sooner with my other two papers.
