Hi!
My name is Elizabeth Knell,
I am a first year at UNE, originally from Watertown, Massachusetts which is a very small town about 15 minutes outside of Boston.
I am currently in the Health, Wellness and Occupational Studies major, hoping to one day become an Occupational Therapist. I got into Occupational Therapy mainly because my grandmother dealt with Occupational Therapists for most of her life. I’ve always loved to help people and liked knowing I could help my grandmother with everyday activities. Without her I would’ve never known what Occupational Therapy is.
In terms of writing, its never been my favorite thing to do. It’s always been a lot easier for me to read a book or passage then have a discussion on it versus writing an essay. Formulating my thoughts into cohesive sentences takes me more time then I want it to. I do find myself doing better with prompts with clear directions versus creative writing and things being very open ended.
Aside from school, I enjoy playing soccer in my free time, watching Netflix (That 70’s Show is my favorite show) and spending time with friends and family. I’m very close with both my parents and older sister, Christa. Not seeing them everyday has been a hard adjustment for me, but the more time I spend at UNE the more I fall in love with it!
Heres a picture of my family and I (left) and a picture of my yiayia (grandmother) and I (right).
